The ELDERS of WRYNGWYRM

Which in the old tongue means '' Wolfs House, I am the battle commander for Wryngwyrm and I am married to Kimwaye. Some call me Skeggless meaning ''Hairless'' or ''Beardless'' because I do not hide my fine features behind common facial hair like others do. As a young man, having shown no talent in any other area, I was trained in the art of war. I was sent far and wide to study with the best masters that could be found and now I try to pass on that knowledge to the young warriors of the war band. In times of conflict, whether we are defending our lands or helping our neighbours meet out chastisement to transgressors, I lead the battle company in the field. At these times ,when the red mist descends and the heart pumps with anticipation of the coming slaughter, I become Skeggless Ulf, ''Hairless Wolf'' and my ferocity knows no bounds. Many times I have been brought back from the battle madness by the soft word and gentle touch of Kimwaye, looking on the carnage of the battle field, I wonder why the gods have seen fit to protect me, when so many lat dead at my feet by my hand.

In times of peace, when sitting in the great hall and listening to the Skald tell stories of long past battles and mighty warriors, I sometimes feel the wolf inside, snarling and straining against the chains that hold him, wanting to be free one more time to reek havoc, rend flesh from the bone and hear the screams of the dying, and I smile to my self and say 'soon brother, soon'

Born to a Danish mother and a Saxon father on the borders of the Danelaw, I have had to make my own way in the world as the family business went to my elder brother. I was sent to my mothers uncle in Londinium to seek my own path. I have traveled East to the Danes and west to the Saxons as I can speak to both peoples, and I trade whatever is available that people need, people, earthenware, fur and jewels.

I have built up my wealth and now own a sword and chain maile, although I have a family I am not the sort to till the earth I still have a need to travel and my loyalties are for sale so long as my family is not involved.
